Tournament Day

Tournament Day 7th June 2009
All players report at 10.15am.
Group Draw will be conducted at 10.30am.

Any players who report after 11am will be strictly penalized.
They will lose 1 Rack for every 5 minutes late.
(If they report at 11.18am, they will start their 1st match with score of 0:4)

Tournament Format

5 Groups of 4 players each and 1 Group of 3 players
Round Robin Format

Each player will play 3 or 2 matches against other players in the same group.
All matches are Race to 7 with Alternate Break.
Losing players pay for the table for that match.

Division 1 players: Race to 7 & Pot Ball 9 to win rack
Division 2 players: Race to 6 & Pot Ball 9 to win rack
Division 3 players: Race to 5 & Pot Ball 8 to win rack
Division 4 players: Race to 4 & Pot Ball 8 to win rack

If the handicapped Ball 8 is sunk on the break, it will be re-spotted.
Handicapped players are not allowed to plant the handicapped ball.
In the event if the handicapped player plants the handicapped ball, the rack will be continuing as normal.
After a non-handicapped player pots the handicapped Ball 8, the rack will be continuing as normal.

2 points will be given to the winning player.
No point will be given to the losing player
Losing players pay for the table for that match.

Qualifying for the Pre Quarter-Final Knock-Out Stage

5 Groups of 4 players each

Top 2 players of each group and 4 Best 3rd placing players will go through to the Pre Quarter-Final Knock-Out Stage

1 Groups of 3 players

Top 2 players of the group will go through to the Pre Quarter-Final Knock-Out Stage

The draw for the Pre Quarter-Final Knock-Out Stage

6 Group Winners will be paired with Runner-up or the 3rd placing players of the other group.

Notes for Round Robin Format

(1) If there is a draw in the Points, Head-To-Head between the 2 players in concern will be the next factor decide the qualifying player.

(2) If the Head-To-Head between the 3 to 4 players in concern still the same, the Difference of Racks Won – Racks Conceded will be the next factor.

(3) If the Racks Difference is still drawn, the Most Racks Won will be the next factor.

(4) If the Most Racks Won is still drawn, the Least Racks Conceded will be the next factor.

Knock-Out Stage

All Knock-Out Stage matches are Race to 7 with Alternate Break.
Losing players pay for the table for that match.

Prize Money

$414 of the total registration fees will be the prize money

Champion : $214.00 & Medal
1st Runner-up : $110.00 & Medal
2nd Runner-up : $60.00 & Medal
3rd Runner-up : $30.00
